What People Are Saying:

"Working with Bon is a breeze. He is genuinely interested in my music making, what might have influenced the music and what kind of feel I might be looking for when mastering the sound. We haven't met as yet, but online communication is swift and clear and I would recommend Bon to anyone who may be just starting out making music or someone who as been in the business any length of time. A consummate professional".

— Ian Parkin, Minor Works Depot

“Recording with Bon was an excellent experience. In the past, I have found poetry to be a form that can be overlooked during recording, or perhaps treated as a ‘quick piece of work’. Yet with Bon, the recording process was brilliantly responsive from start to finish – not only did I feel that my work was appreciated, but sensitively and perceptively responded to during the course of the session. This is a truly tailored service, and throughout I felt completely comfortable in asking any questions, to do another take etc – and, crucially, had plenty of fun! Combined with the great array of equipment available, and a beautiful location to boot – this is a stand-out audio experience: for all the right reasons!”

— Emily Oldfield, Poet

Recording with Bon is a wonderful professional experience, the studio is perfectly set up technically for really concentrating on the best audio, without feeling intimidated with a glass wall. Personally speaking, as a solo singer songwriter I would not be able to record to this standard without his sound engineer skills in a warm, welcoming environment. It's great to have a focused schedule, and know that spoken word and musical projects can be realised. High Peak Recordings is bringing an EP into existence with live recordings set in the Peaks. It is a highly suitable place for poets, and creatives.

— Christina Hogg, Singer-Songwriter

“Recording process: Clean, tidy studio with high quality equipment. We all sat with a cuppa and Bon proceeded to get to know us and each of our aims individually. Here is when we found that he’d already taken the time to read through our website and he’d listened to songs in our back catalogue. This is a rarity in our experience and not something we were expecting so we were already impressed before we recorded a note. We laid down a guide track, then guitar & bass, followed by vocals. Each and every part was treated individually and given Bon’s full attention. Hands on and full of ideas & suggestions for each band member. The whole experience was first class. Once we were happy with the rough mixes we moved onto the main mix and we were consulted and changes & suggestions were welcomed until we were happy. One thing that we shouldn’t need to mention but in our experience is rare, is Bon’s excellent communication and his reliability. Every single deadline was met or exceeded, he’s a rarity where this is concerned. It’s such a breath of fresh air to know when someone says, I’ll have that with you next week, you know 100% that they will. We can highly recommend Bon for all types of recording, mixing or mastering but most of all his hands on, interested and caring approach. We are already planning our next sessions. Thank you Bon!”
